Craig came to my home where we discussed what I wanted to do which was remove existing wall to wall carpet and replace with hardwood. Craig gave me some recommendations for layout for the flooring which turned out to make the floor look great since ran continuously in the dining room, living room, study and the master bedroom.

Craig also made recommendations for us for replacing the hardwood that we had hardwood. We chose a stone for the foyer and Craig made sure we understood that new more supportive sub-flooring would be needed to avoid movement and cracking. He was correct in his recommendation since the stone was too heavy for the existing sub-flooring.

Finally, he suggested that we bring the foyer stone into the living room by framing the fireplace with that stone. It turned out to look great as a design concept. We received many compliments from our friends and family.

We benefited from retaining both a master craftsman and an interior designer. I would highly recommend Houseworks Unlimited and look forward to working with them again on our next project.

 This testimonial is for the files of Houseworks Unlimited, Inc. I’m sorry that it took me so long to write it, but perhaps the delay is not such a bad thing, as the projects you completed for us have had the test of time.

 Houseworks Unlimited helped us design and completed two projects for us: enlarging and remodeling the master bath and upgrading and remodeling the family/guest bathroom.

·         Bathroom #1 (Master Bathroom) entailed gutting the existing bathroom, repairing the subflooring and the supporting joists, removing the side of the house, building a foundation for an addition, building the addition, including a 5-skylight roof to the addition; and then completing the interior walls and ceiling and tiling the floor and walls. A large corner jacuzzi tub and shower was installed as well as new fixtures and a stackable washer/dryer. The doorway to the bathroom was made larger and the interior detailing was well done (e.g. mirrors, lighting, medicine cabinets, etc.). The exterior finishing was so well matched that the addition looks like it was built with the original house. The finished bathroom is a “House Beautiful” room that we enjoy so much and is greatly admired and envied by all our friends and family.

 ·         Bathroom #2 (Family/Guest Bathroom) entailed gutting the room completely, including removing the drywall, tiled floor and standard size bathtub. The tub space was made into an over-sized shower stall with seat and glass doors, and all new fixtures were installed. The room was rebuilt, and the shower stall, shower seat and the floor were beautifully tiled with a unique design. It is our family/guest bathroom and is as attractive as it is practical- we are very pleased with it.

 Houseworks Unlimited was given a budget for each project and each was completed within the timetable given us by the contractor. The family was at home during construction and the household was disrupted as little as possible and with consideration for our needs.

I have recommended Houseworks Unlimited to friends and they have been as pleased as we are with the projects completed for them. I am happy to give them the highest recommendation.
